If your organisation is unable to complete the on-line purchase procedure and make payment by credit card it is possible to make the purchase by conventional means. In other words by sending us a purchase order.
Purchase orders may be sent by one of these methods:
Credit terms (30 day account) are automatically granted to most established companies/organisations of International or National Repute either within the EU, USA or elsewhere in the english speaking areas of the world. Credit is also generally extended to educational establishments, libraries, government departments and other publicly funded organisations. Credit terms may be available to others depending on particular circumstances and the ability to provide satisfactory trade and banking references. However taking up credit references for a single purchase is not generally economically viable and this would only be done for those with an ongoing supply requirement.
Software delivery (purchase order fulfilment) is achieved by the customer collecting it by downloading from this web site.
Customer details are held on a database which permits further downloads of the current release without further payment or formality for a period of 1 year from the original purchase date. In this way the customer can obtain the most recent software release automatically on demand.
For this purpose we require you to provide a valid email address with your order. The email will be used to send the initial download details. The email will not be used for any marketing activity nor will it be passed to any third party.
If you do not wish to download the software for any reason or wish it to be provided on a CD we are able to do this at additional cost. Producing individual CDs is expensive in terms of time and regretably the price must reflect this.
Tax is not charged if the software is provided to organisations outside the EU.
Under EU law customers who purchase software for use within the EU must pay Value Added Tax (VAT). Under current legislation we must charge VAT at UK rates (currently 17.5%). We always provide a full invoice detailing all charges which some tax registered organisations may be able to use to reclaim the VAT paid.
VAT is not charged if the purchaser is a tax registered organisation in the EU (but outside the UK) and a valid tax number is provided at the time of purchase.
Please note that it is imposible for us to repay tax once we have collected it on behalf of the tax authorities. All enquiries for reimbursement must be directed to the relevant authority.
The default currency for payment is UK Pounds sterling (GBP). Alternatively payment may be made in US dollars (USD). Payment may be made by cheque (check) or by direct money transfer (bank transfer). Please indicate your preferred method of payment with your order.
